OSCURIDAD Y LUZ
¿Te volverás a Él hoy?
“Señor, he pecado contra ti y necesito tu perdón.
DARKNESS AND LIGHT
Halloween is full of fear, death and darkness. Costumes, candy and spooky decorations are everywhere. But behind all of it is something very real. One day, every one of us will die.
The Bible says, “It is appointed for man to die once, and after that comes judgment” (Hebrews 9:27).
Death isn’t a game, and neither is sin. Romans 6:23 says, “For the wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.”
Here’s the good news. Death doesn’t get the last word.
Jesus said, “I am the resurrection and the life. Whoever believes in me, though he die, yet shall he live, and everyone who lives and believes in me shall never die” (John 11:25–26).
God gives us a hope that reaches beyond this world, the hope of eternal life with him.
Halloween reminds us that death is real. But in Jesus Christ, we find life.
Jesus lived a perfect life. He died in your place. Then he rose from the dead so you could be forgiven and have new life in him. He’s the only Savior who can rescue you from sin and eternal death.
To receive this life, you need to repent and believe in Jesus. Repenting means admitting you’ve sinned, turning away from your own path and turning to God in faith.
And God makes you this promise: “If we confess our sins, he (Dios) is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness” (1 John 1:9).
This Halloween, instead of focusing on darkness and death, step into the light. Jesus is the light that overcomes every darkness.
God is offering you forgiveness and eternal life with him.
Will you turn to him today? If you believe this in your heart, tell God. Use your own words, or pray something like this:
“Lord, I have sinned against you, and I need your forgiveness. Thank you for sending Jesus to die in my place and take the punishment for my sins. I believe he rose from the dead. Today I turn from my past and receive Jesus as my Savior and Lord. Please forgive my sins and give me eternal life. Amen.”
